Daily Word – Friday 13 March 2009

So do not worry or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. [Matthew 6:33]

The secret to overcoming anxiety is remaining in Christ, moment by moment, one day at a time. Our Lord never told us that we would never have troubles, but He did promise that His grace would be sufficient for everything we would ever have to face.

I know I have said this before but I know I have to keep hearing it myself ----- God is called ‘THE I AM’ --- His name is not ‘the I was’ or ‘the I will be’; He is ‘THE I AM’ for you and me TODAY.

I have to constantly remind myself that worrying about the future, worrying about tomorrow will rob me of victory, and I will fail to live in the fullness of His love and grace today.

We need to stay fervently focused on our relationship with Him, for our salvation is in Him, each and every day!
