DAILY WORD – THURSDAY 20 NOVEMBER 2008

JOHN 8:12 ---  JESUS SAID, “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. SO IF YOU FOLLOW ME, YOU WONT BE STUMBLING THROUGH THE DARKNESS, FOR LIVING LIGHT WILL FLOOD YOUR PATH.”(LIVING TRANSLATION)

When I look at the times I have stumbled through life, it has been when I have been using the wrong type of light to guide my steps.

The ‘light’ of other peoples opinions or the ‘light’ of the wisdom of the world, the ‘light’ of the lies of the enemy and more often than not the ‘light’ of my own desires and ambitions. These types of ‘light’ quickly lose their brilliance and go out leaving us feeling lost in the darkness of our wrong choices. Jesus is The Living Light, and His Light never dies but rather floods our lives with direction.

He is our great cosmic lighthouse guiding us safely into the harbour of eternity.

Today let His Living Light flood your life, that the Light of His Glory will not only direct your paths but also lead others away from the storms of life and into the harbour of His presence.
