1 Peter 4:1-2

¹ Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin. ² As a result, they do not live the rest of their earthly lives for evil human desires, but rather for the will of God.

·         We all have desires; some are of the flesh and others from the Holy Spirit.

·         Know that although we might have carnal thoughts of sin at times, we also have the Spirit of Christ in us.

·         Where does the war start against sin?

·         In your mind.

·         Guard thus your mind and learn to distinguish between carnal and spiritual desires.

·         Desires of the flesh never result in peace, but Godly desires will bring you joyous rewards and peace.

Prayer: Our Father in heaven, help me to control my thoughts.  I choose the desires of the Holy Spirit who dwells in me. Amen
