Daily Word – Friday 21^st May 2010

You can never please God without faith, without depending on Him.

[Hebrews 11:6a]

Why do we seem to feel that to please God, we have to be doing something for Him, in order to prove ourselves to Him in some way?

The reality is that the thing that pleases Him the most is when we trust in, and depend on Him totally.

When we stop looking at what we need to change about ourselves, and start trusting God to do the transforming we will truly live in the realm of grace.

We are His masterpieces, His workmanship, and we need to rest in what He is doing in our lives instead of working to become what we think He wants us to be.

We spend time and money going to motivational talks and seminars to try and become more Christ-like, but the thing that we need be motivated to do, is to DEPEND ON HIM!

To be like Christ we need to live in Christ, and to live in Him we need to be TOTALLY dependant on Him.
