DAILY WORD – WEDNESDAY 14TH APRIL 2010

For it is God Who is all the while at work in you, creating in you the power and desire, both to will and to work for His good pleasure and delight.

Philippians 2:13

I love this scripture --- I am so glad that it is God who is constantly creating the desire in me to follow Him.

For I have to admit that there are days when I don’t feel like following --- days when, in myself, I feel powerless amid my circumstances.

Days when I just feel like giving up --- times when I think ‘I must be the only person on the planet who can’t do this Christian thing right’ --- but then I remember this scripture, as well as many others, that tell me that its not about what I can or cannot do, but about what He Is doing in me.

I am so thankful that we serve a God full of compassion and care, mercy and grace, power and wisdom, and that he is planting all of these wonderful qualities in those of us who have allowed Him to plant us in the garden of His love.

So today even if you feel that you are like a bulb buried deep under the ground, know that He is feeding and watering you, and that soon you will rise above the dark soil of the winter times, and blossom once again under the light of His love.
