DAILY WORD – MONDAY 22^ND MARCH 2010

AND SET YOUR MINDS AND KEEP THEM SET ON WHAT IS ABOVE (THE HIGHER THINGS), NOT ON THE THINGS THAT ARE ON THE EARTH. FOR [AS FAR AS THIS WORLD IS CONCERNED] YOU HAVE DIED, AND YOUR [NEW REAL] LIFE IS HIDDEN WITH CHRIST IN GOD.

COLOSSIANS 3:2+3 (Amplified translation)

 OFF WITH THE OLD AND ON WITH THE NEW

I have found in my own life, that when my mind becomes bogged down with the things of this world, I very soon lose perspective, become discouraged and ultimately start thinking and speaking negatively.

I know through personal experience that we can have all the knowledge of Gods Word in our heads, but in trying times, it is sometimes so hard to get the Word into our hearts and out of our mouths.

The enemy bombards our minds with every possible negative outcome to our challenges because he wants us to believe, his destiny for us and not Gods.

As Gods children, we will never find our answers in this world’s wisdom. If, as the Word tells us, our real life is hidden in Christ then the answers we need, can only be found in Him.

And if our lives are hidden in Christ, then so too is our true destiny, hidden where Satan cannot corrupt it.

Satan is the father of lies, and the images that he bombards us with are his alternative ‘realities’ for us. We must not fall into the trap of entertaining his ‘realities’ as truth.

REMEMBER: YOU CANNOT ‘WORK’ THE WORD YOU HAVE TO ‘REST’ IN IT.
