DAILY WORD – WEDNESDAY 10 JUNE 2009 

jeremiah 31:3 --- yes, i have loved you with an everlasting love; THEREFORE, with loving kindness have i drawn you and continued my faithfulness to you. (amplified TRANSLATION) 

GOD HAS ALWAYS LOVED US 

HE SEEKS US BEFORE WE EVER GIVE HIM A THOUGHT 

HE IS FAITHFUL EVEN WHEN WE ARE NOT 

We know that sin separates us from God but I often think that we get the impression that God is just waiting for us to make a mistake so He can turn away and abandon us. This is not what His word says. We know that we need to repent to be reconciled to our Heavenly Father but what we forget is that the word repent means ‘turn around’ go in the opposite direction. 

We are not told that God has to repent in order to restore His relationship with us. In fact, His Word tells us that He is married to the backslider and that He will leave the fold to rescue the one lost lamb. This is not a God that is waiting to dump us on the scrapheap of humanity. So if the enemy is lying to you today, telling you that you have blown it again and God can’t here your cries, then open your mouth and declare ‘ my God has promised to never leave me or forsake me’
