DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 2nd JUNE 2009 

And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord and in giving praise to God the Father through Him.

Colossians 3:17 

Our walk with God is like a marathon ~ our goal is to finish the marathon and everyone who crosses the finishing line is a winner! 

Sometimes feel like everyone else is ahead of you in the marathon of life?

Ever feel as if you should be doing something bigger or better as a Christian? 

All to often we feel that we should be engaged in some big assignment for God, but the truth is that the best way we can reach ‘the world’ is by reaching people, and the best way to reach people is to demonstrate a Christ like attitude in all we do. 

How often in our everyday lives, in our homes or places of work, don’t we find ourselves becoming irritated with the people around us when we should be walking in love with one another. If we embrace each day with an attitude of ‘doing everything as unto The Lord’ we will experience Christ in everything we do. 

So today let’s just keep taking one step at a time, touching the lives of those around us and not looking to see who might be ahead of us. It’s not about how fast we make it to the finishing line, but about how many people we take with us!
