DAILY WORD – THURSDAY 7TH MAY 2009 1 KINGS 19:9 --- AND THERE HE WENT INTO A CAVE, AND SPENT THE NIGHT IN THAT PLACE; AND BEHOLD, THE WORD OF THE lORD CAME TO HIM, AND hE SAID TO HIM, “wHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, ELIJAH?” WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? Elijah had just defeated hundreds of pagan priests and witnessed God bringing rain after seven years. The queen, Jezebel, told him, in essence, that she was putting a price on his head. He fled into the cave in the wilderness. How often do we see the wonders of God in our midst only to flee at the first inkling of opposition? Elijah had every reason, in the flesh, to be afraid, but he had no reason as a prophet of the Most High God! Sometimes our circumstances overwhelm us, and we too run for the hills. Our God, however, never leaves or forsakes us, He will find your cave and ask you, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? Listen to His still, small voice, He will guide and lead you back onto the road of His destiny for your life! REMEMBER: GOD NEVER LEAVES OR FORSAKES YOU!!!!!!!!! Stay fervently focused Much love Chrissy
