Daily Word – Tuesday 31 March 2009 

So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.  [2 Corinthians 4:16-18] 

Sometimes all we can see are the things going on around us, we feel overwhelmed by life and just want to sit down and give up. What we don’t see at the time however, is what God is doing in and for us; only later down the line are we able to look back and see that, more often than not, the things we thought we would never survive, God used to move us into something new or different. 

We humans resist change, we feel safe with the familiar, even if the familiar is bad for us, but God has a destiny for each and everyone of us and His desire is to bless us not curse us. The trials we face today will pass away but what God is doing in our lives will last forever. 

So today don’t give up, don’t quit, but just keep putting one foot in front of the other, keep following Jesus, He knows what you need and where you need to be and He will never let you down. 

Live in ‘CHRIST’ not ‘CRISIS’!!!!      Believe ‘THE WORD’ not ‘THE WORLD’!!!!
