Daily Word – Wednesday 25 March 2009 

We put no obstruction in anybody's way [we give no offense in anything], so that no fault may be found and [our] ministry blamed and discredited. [2 Corinthians 6:3] 

Now you may be reading this and thinking ‘this scripture doesn’t apply to me, I’m not in ministry’, but what we need to realize is, that as Christians we become representatives of Christ, and therefore our entire life becomes a ministry. 

When we attach the name ‘Jesus Christ’ to our lives everything we do is seen by others as a reflection of ‘Christianity’, and therefore when we behave in an ungodly manner the statements made about us are never ‘so-and-so is not very nice’ but rather ‘and they call themselves Christians’. 

It is ultimately the Lords name that is discredited by our bad actions and attitudes, which is why it is so important that we guard our hearts from offence. It is by grace we are saved each and every day, and not only from the world and the power of sin, but from ourselves with all our imperfections. 

So, as we daily yield to the direction of The Holy Spirit in our lives, we will begin to reflect the love, joy and peace of our Lord, and so others will be drawn to the cross and a new life in Christ. 

REFLECT ‘THE LIVING WORD’ NOT ‘THE WORLD’
