Doing what it takes We all want to be happy, but are we willing to really do what it takes to reach that goal?
One of the challenges on our road to happiness is to love our enemies as a famous teacher said 2000 years ago. Who are our enemies? We can place anybody we don't like into this category e.g. people hurt our feelings (we allowed them to do that), people with irritating behaviour, etc.
I must say this is big challenge for me at the moment, because there are people in my life, whom I don't like. I have applied my 3-fingers pointing back, till the cows come home. I have adjusted my own behaviour over and over again but I still don't like them. I believe that I never applied the 3 fingers properly, because I noticed that a part of me actually doesn't want to like them. It looks like I am enjoying having people in my life, who I can complain about. I use them to get sympathy from others.
If I really want to be filled with joy and gratitude, not matter what, (This is my goal for this year) I need to change my attitude towards my enemies. I cannot just cut them out of my life. New irritating people will take their place. I will have to start looking at the good side of these people and somehow not focus on their irritating side. My ego doesn't like this, because this means I have to eat humble pie and get off my self-righteous horse. Do you have an idea on how to overcome this challenge? I would love to hear from you.

Have fun and take some risks.
