Psalm 119:37 (New Living Translation)

  Turn my eyes from worthless things,
      and give me life through your word.

 

I don’t know about you but I find that there are so many distractions in todays world that sometimes it is hard to stay focused on Gods Word.

 

Life seems so fast that we don’t even find time some days to take a breath and just spend time with the Lord – yes we may throw up the hurried pray but we miss out on the quality time that a loving relationship needs – and then at the end of the day we just feel tired and stressed.

 

The toilet has become a good friend to me over the years, as in the midst of all the demands surrounding me, it has become a place of retreat where I can just put my head in my hands and speak to my Lord – where I can take a little time out -- where no one will disturb me.

 

Now some off you may think its disrespectful talking to God in the lavatory but I want you to know that God meets us wherever we are – He’s not bothered by the décor or surroundings – He is concerned with us – He wants His love and grace to be operational in our lives each  and every day – and He wants us to break away from everything that would distract us and rest in Him.
