DAILY WORD – THURSDAY 11^th SEPTEMBER 2008

isaiah 58:10 – and if you pour out that with which you sustain your own life for the hungry and satisfy the need of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness, and your obscurity and gloom become like noon day. (AMPL. BIBLE)

FEELING GLOOMY, LIKE YOU’RE INVISIBLE TO THOSE AROUND YOU?

We have to realize that we have been called, as children of god, to ‘outreach’ not “inreach’. So often the ‘enemy’ gets us totally focused on the things missing in our own lives thus rendering us incapable of moving into Gods promises, or to be a blessing to others. The world around us, today, is full of people who have hungry and afflicted souls. We need to sow the thing we most need, into the lives of others.   As we reach out with that word of encouragement or that helping hand, we have Gods promise that our light will rise, we will rise above that which would strive to pull us down. It is in seeking to be a blessing rather than to be blessed, that the blessing we so long for will overtake us.

Today, speak a word of comfort and encouragement to someone..

Remember this week:  When the going gets tough – God’s word is there, for, and with you!

PRAYER – Lord help me today to take my eyes off of myself and my problems, and to reach out to be a blessing to those around me. I thank you lord that you are the strength of my life and the supplier of all my needs according to your riches in glory, and not my circumstances or abilities.
