DAILY WORD – WEDNESDAY 27 AUGUST 2008 "I've never, as you so well know, had any taste for wealth or fashion. With these bare hands I took care of my own basic needs and those who worked with me. In everything I've done, I have demonstrated to you how necessary it is to Acts 20:33-35 (The Message) The biblical principle for life is giving – giving our love and grace, our time and patience, our care and compassion etc. etc!
Sometimes though we get distracted and caught up by the system of ‘the world’ which is take, take, take! We live in a very material world that dictates that we be measured by our money and status, and sadly this self-serving attitude has entered much of the church. Now you may be nodding your head in agreement, as you may have personally been hurt by this worldly attitude in your church, but remember that ‘the church’ is not the sum of its buildings, but the sum of its people. Each of us is equally responsible for our own attitudes whether they be good or bad, and all too often let’s face it, we respond to others who have a bad attitude towards us, with a bad attitude to them. We totally forget Gods Word that tells us that as we sow, so shall we reap. So the challenge today is – no matter how you feel treat those around you the way you want them to treat you! Stay fervently focused Much love Chrissy
