Daniel 3:28 (The Message)

Nebuchadnezzar said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel and rescued his servants who trusted in him! They ignored the king's orders and laid their bodies on the line rather than serve or worship any god but their own.

Man worships many gods, not least of all, himself! History shows us, time and time again, how mans greed and avarice has led to destruction and pain.

Mans lust for money, power and fame demonstrates arrogance and self-worship, and we see this demonstrated in every walk of life and even, at times, in the church.

Where there is lust for fame or power there will be a lack of genuine care for the people around us. The game of the day is -- how many people we can betray, deceive and ‘stab in the back’ – to achieve our goal!

So in this type of world – who do we trust?

I am sure that many of you, like me, have given love and support into a relationship only to have that person ‘turn on you’, eventually making it really hard not to become cynical, and ultimately afraid, not knowing who to trust.

But we need to know that we have a God who we can trust completely, even when we are in the midst of ‘the fire’!

He has told us not to grow weary of doing good, and when we place all of our trust in Him, He gives us the ability to remain tender hearted, and when the world around us hurts us, we have His eternal arms to run into!

Arms that will never let you go! Arms that will comfort and heal! And arms that will set you firmly on your feet again!

Where could we ever find a love like this!!!!
