DAILY WORD – 15^th JULY 2008

My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him. You're deeply rooted in him. You're well constructed upon him. You know your way around the faith. Now do what you've been taught. School's out; quit studying the subject and start living it! And let your living spill over into thanksgiving.  [Colossians 2:6-7]

Studying the Word of God is good, but only living it will change our lives. I think we tend to spend far too much time worrying about whether we are praying enough, or reading the bible enough, or doing enough, when what we should be doing is resting in and relying on the Holy Spirit. It is His power working within us that leads us and transforms us into the likeness of Christ, bringing love, joy, peace and thanksgiving into our lives.

Living ‘IN JESUS’ is a place of peace not pressure, and yet many of us waste precious hours of our lives stressing as to whether we are doing enough to gain Gods favour.

‘In Christ’ you have Gods favour, not because of anything you have done or can do but because of what Jesus did for you at Calvary.

Remember, that if we “Delight ourselves in the Lord, He will give us the desires of our hearts”

Remember, that if we “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths”
