Galatians 5:4-6 (The Message)

I suspect you would never intend this, but this is what happens. When you attempt to live by your own religious plans and projects, you are cut off from Christ, you fall out of grace. Meanwhile we expectantly wait for a satisfying relationship with the Spirit. For in Christ, neither our most conscientious religion nor disregard of religion amounts to anything. What matters is something far more interior: faith expressed in love.

Let’s face it there are times when all of us get trapped into religious works; the reason for this being that we don’t always comprehend the power of grace in our lives and so revert back to trying to work for Gods approval.

There are times in all our lives when we feel doubt and fear, confusion and uncertainty, times when we feel a million miles away from God and totally inept as Christians.

What we forget, is that when we are weak He is strong, that we are held in the palm of His hand, that He has promised never to leave or forsake us, that nothing can separate us from His love, and none of this because of how pious, how good, how successful or how religious we are, but because of His shed blood at Calvary, because of his never ending love, grace and mercy.

So today, no matter how you feel, just rest in His love for you, let it flow into every part of your being, forget your weaknesses, forget your mistakes, and remember ---- His love and mercy will always triumph over judgment in your life!
