Daily Word Tuesday 16th October 2007

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].

Proverbs 18:21 (Amplified Bible)

Have you ever sat and really thought about the things that come out of your mouth? How much time do we waste speaking negatively? From the simple things like moaning about the weather (it’s either too hot or too cold) to expressing ‘doomsday forecasts’ for the future, and more often than not, we don’t even realize what we’re saying.

We live in a world that embraces the negatives, from news papers to television programs, and politics, we are constantly being bombarded with negative stories, ideas and opinions.

In the light of all this, it is so important what we focus on, because what we choose to think about is what we will speak about, and what we speak about, according to the scripture above, is what we will ultimately have to live with.

So today, keep your mind on Christ and your speech on the promises of God!

Stay fervently focused,

Much love,

Chrissy
