It's true that moral guidance and counsel need to be given, but the way you say it and to whom you say it are as important as what you say.

1 Timothy 1:8 (The Message)

Ever heard the saying ‘it’s not what you say but the way you say it’? Well we, as Christians, are called operate in love. We may be saying the right thing but if it’s relayed in the wrong spirit, then our words will bring death instead of life to the person/people we are speaking to.

It never ceases to amaze me how some leaders will cover intimidating tactics by calling it leadership or even mentorship. True mentorship is a position of service not lordship and is operated through love not control.

So remember if you cant say it in love, don’t say it at all!
