Daily Word Tuesday 31^st July 2007

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation and adorn the wretched with victory.
Psalm 149:3-5

There are days for all of us when we just feel we’re never going to ‘make it’, days when nothing we do seems to work, and things just seem to go from bad to worse.

Days when our prayers seem to hit brick walls, and God suddenly seems so far away.

Days when it seems that the good guys lose and the bad guys win.

Days when we feel --- just plain wretched!

So if you’re having one of those days, know that God has declared that HE will adorn YOU with victory --- not because you’re praying the right prays, not because you know the bible back to front, not because of you’re good works but because He loves you.

All we need to do is place ourselves humbly in His hands and let His salvation wash over our lives, creating beauty from the ashes of our existence.
