DAILY WORD FRIDAY 27^TH JULY 2007

 No one can control the wind or lock it in a box.
   No one has any say-so regarding the day of death.
   No one can stop a battle in its tracks.
   No one who does evil can be saved by evil.

 Ecclesiastes 8:8

Like the wind, our emotions when fired up, are not easily controlled or locked away.

And why despite the fact that no one knows the day of their death, do we all too often live with no thought of our eternal destiny?

Once tempers are allowed to flare, the chance of stopping the battle of bitter words are next to nothing.

And when will we finally stop falling into the trap of returning evil for evil, playing tit-for-tat, for surely in our hearts, we know that two wrongs can never make a right.

The fact is that in our own strength we can never completely overcome our flesh, but ---

 ‘In Christ’ ---- we can become everything beautiful that we were created to be!
