Daily Word Thursday 7th June 2007.
Good people are good to their animals;
the "good-hearted" bad people kick and abuse them.
Proverbs 12:10 (The Message)
I found this to be a very interesting scripture as I have often felt that you can tell a lot about a persons character by the way they treat their animals. Mean spirited people can and do often falsely project “good-heartedness” but will always give themselves away when you watch how they relate to animals.
Now I don’t have the foggiest idea why God gave me this scripture for the daily word today except to say that maybe someone out there is undecided about how to read someone elses sincerity or motives, and maybe, just maybe you need to watch how they treat their animals.
