DAILY WORD WEDNESDAY 30 MAY 2007 Distress that drives us to God does that. It turns us around. It gets us back in the way of salvation. We never regret that kind of pain. But those who let distress drive them away from God are full of regrets; end up on a deathbed of regrets. 2 Corinthians 7:10 Many times when we face difficulties we run from God instead of towards Him. We feel let down, abandoned and helpless, when in fact this is when God can do His most powerful work in us. When we can’t --- He can! When we are at our weakest we can more easily get out of the way and ‘let God’. When we feel strong we, more often than not, try to sort things out in our own way, but when weak we cant see ‘the wood for the trees’ and so in these times it is Gods direction we most need.
