Daily Word – Thursday 26 April 2007God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. [Ephesians 3:20] How often in life don’t we feel pushed around, forced into a corner, manipulated by people, controlled by circumstances, or just plain beaten down? All these things make the scripture above, a beautiful promise in a world that can, at times, make us feel so bullied. Our Lord doesn’t push us around, manipulate us, or control us but gently leads us with love and grace. Jesus died to overcome the world for us, and in Him we will always find protection and strength. When we cleave to Him with everything within us, He gentles us into a place of rest and restoration, and creates for us brand new tomorrows bursting with blessings.
