Daily Word – Tuesday 06 March 2007

Since God has so generously let us in on what he is doing, we're not about to throw up our hands and walk off the job just because we run into occasional hard times. We refuse to wear masks and play games. We don't maneuver and manipulate behind the scenes. And we don't twist God's Word to suit ourselves. Rather, we keep everything we do and say out in the open, the whole truth on display, so that those who want to can see and judge for themselves in the presence of God. [2 Corinthians 4:1-2]

Wow, how many of us can honestly say that these words are true of our daily life?

Do we wear masks to suit different situations?

Do we sometimes play games to cover up our own short comings?

Do we subtly manipulate to achieve our own desires?

Have we twisted Gods Word to prove ourselves right?

All these actions destroy our testimony, as all ‘the world’ sees is hypocrisy. It is our transparency and the leaning of our entire personality on Christ, relying on His grace to bring us through that will speak more volumes than any super-spiritual actions will ever do.

The world needs to see real people (warts and all), living real lives, serving a real God who is the only one who can really change us, and our lives!  

Keep it real!  Believe ‘THE WORD’ not ‘THE WORLD’!!!!
