Daily Word – Friday 09 February 2007

God rewrote the text of my life
      when I opened the book of my heart to His eyes. [2 Samuel 22:25]

This may seem like a confusing statement as we know that God sees into the depths of our hearts and even sees the things that we’re not prepared to even look at.

The thing is that God never forces Himself on us; yes He knows everything but without our submission and consent He cannot rewrite the text of our lives.

Lets face it, God often gets blamed for the worst events; people make statements like ‘ if God is love how could He let this happen’ but God did not create us to be robot like slaves, unable to make any choices. He gave us the choice to love Him or hate Him, serve Him or slander Him, repent or reject Him.

It is sin that enslaves us, the never-ending lusts and demands of our flesh, the constant self-loving, self-seeking attitudes that harm us and the people around us. It is the Love of Christ and the power of His blood that frees us from such demonic slavery.

If you open up your heart to Him, He will rewrite the story of your life.

Believe ‘THE WORD’ not ‘THE WORLD’!!!!
