Daily Word – Wednesday 31 January 2007

"If any of you are embarrassed over Me and the way I'm leading you when you get around your fickle and unfocused friends, know that you'll be an even greater embarrassment to the Son of Man when He arrives in all the splendor of God, His Father, with an army of the holy angels." [Mark 8:38]

Do we share Jesus everyday, wherever we are, or do we only speak about Him when we are with other Christians?

When we fail to share our salvation with others, we deny Christ, not only in our own lives but in the lives of those we fear will mock or reject us.

We may be the only expression of Gods love that some people will ever experience, and by denying the power of Gods presence in our lives, we deny others the opportunity to know the Grace and Glory of God in their lives.

It is very easy, when faced with the intellectualism of today, to become intimidated by the clever speech of some of the people we encounter daily, but remember, the God of the Universe lives in us, and in Him we have all the love and wisdom we need to break through the barriers of the hardest cynic.

So today my prayer is: - ‘Lord, help us to share You with those around us, not only with our words but with our actions and our love’.
