Daily Word – Thursday 21 December 2006

God's Message:

   "Don't let the wise brag of their wisdom.
   Don't let heroes brag of their exploits.
Don't let the rich brag of their riches.
   If you brag, brag of this and this only:
That you understand and know me.
   I'm God, and I act in loyal love.
I do what's right and set things right and fair,
   and delight in those who do the same things.

How often do we brag about how great God is?

Lets face it, we have no problem telling people about that promotion at work, or the new car we’ve bought, or what we’ve done for others, and mainly because we still feel that all these things reflect on how successful and great we are.

Success and favour come from The Lord! Yes we can study hard and work hard but at the end of the day, as children of God, all our promotion comes from Him.

At this time, as we come to the end of the year, let us reflect on how good our God has been to us; how even in the tough times He has been there strengthening and equipping us, how He has opened doors we thought would never open, and then lets share His wonderful love with those around us!
