Daily Word – Friday 23 November 2006

God-friendship is for God-worshipers;
   they are the ones he confides in.  [Psalm 25:14]

How do we see worship? As something we do once a week in church, or as a way of life?

Worship brings us into the throne room of God and, whether in times of loud musical worship or quiet reverential worship, when we focus our hearts on worshipping the Lord, the troubles of the world fade away and we become free to hear Gods voice.

Worship is a way of life and we can worship in the church, in our cars, while riding a bicycle or taking a walk, while cooking a meal or cleaning the house; wherever the place, whatever we are doing we can lift our hearts in worship to the living God.

Worship calms our spirit, and frees us from the everyday stresses and worries of life that, if left un-dealt with, all too soon choke our faith and rob us of our joy in the Lord.

And when, in the sweet moments of worship, we hear the voice of the Lord whisper in our hearts, we know that we truly have a friend in God and that he holds our lives safely in His hands.

So today, make worship your way of life!!!!
