Daily Word – Tuesday 21 November 2006 You use steel to sharpen steel,
Relationships aren’t always easy and sometimes we even find ourselves in conflict with the people closest to us; and then there are times that, just when you think that you are living in harmony with all those around you, somebody will arrive in your world who will just rub you up the wrong way, challenging your love walk in every area of your life. Whether in the work place, the church or just in our everyday comings and goings, we need to recognise that these people serve to expose the attitudes in our hearts that God wants to deal with. And I have found in my own life that sometimes the people who, at first, irritate me enormously, often turn out in the end, to be of my closest friends. The other aspect of this is that the things that most irritate us in others are often the very things we are struggling with ourselves. If we commit ourselves to working at the relationship and not avoiding it, we more often than not, receive our own deliverance as well as gaining a friend. So today, relax don’t run, for your God knows what He’s doing!!!
