Daily Word – Wednesday 15 November 2006

How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along!
   It's like costly anointing oil
      flowing down head and beard,
   flowing down Aaron's beard,
      flowing down the collar of his priestly robes.
   It's like the dew on Mount Hermon
      flowing down the slopes of Zion.
   Yes, that's where God commands the blessing,
      ordains eternal life.  [Psalm 133]

When we get along with one another, when we walk in love and harmony with one another, God commands the blessing!

So why do we act so surprised when we are at loggerheads with one another, and Gods blessings seem to disappear? 

When we walk in love with one another Gods beauty radiates from us and people outside of the faith are drawn to us. But the kingdom of God will never grow if all the world sees is strife amongst us.

If we allow offence to enter our hearts our lives will be put on pause, as offence prevents us from growing and moving forward with God.

So today ----- extend grace, walk in love and walk in the blessings of God!
