Daily Word – Thursday 19 October 2006

“You don't get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It's who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.  [Luke 6:43-45]

Do we ‘talk the walk’ or ‘walk the talk’?

Do we pursue only those who ‘bring something to the table’, or do we seek to bless those who come ‘empty handed’?

Do we acknowledge our own faults, or focus on the faults of others?

It is so much easier to watch what others are doing or not doing, rather than taking an honest look in the mirror, and it defiantly much easier to tell another person what they should or shouldn’t be doing, than submitting our own lives to the discipline of The Living God.

It means nothing if we own ‘the world’ but produce rotten fruit. Its not about status, titles, wealth or position, but about what comes out of the depth of our being, for ‘what does it profit a man if he gains the world but losses his soul’.

Remember: ----

What we sow is what we shall reap, and we will reap with the same measure as we sow!

So let’s sow good fruit today!
