Daily Word – Wednesday 18 October 2006

I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

[Philippians 4:13]

Maybe like me, you know that you are not ‘ready for anything’ let alone ‘equal to anything’, in fact I am more likely, in myself, to feel ill equipped to handle many of lifes challenges. Actually, more often than not, I would rather run away and hide, than to meet them head on with confidence.

If, like me, you ever feel this way then this scripture will become for you, as it has for me, a life line in the midst of the storm. For the truth is, that I don’t have to be ‘ready for anything’ or ‘equal to anything’ to walk victoriously through this life, I just have to be totally dependent on The One Who is sufficient for all situations.

So today, rest in the power and guidance of The Holy Spirit Who dwells within you, empowering you to become everything God destined you to be!
