Daily Word – Friday 29 September 2006"Here is a simple rule of thumb for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you; then grab the initiative and do it for them! [Luke 6:31] Simple? yes, but not always easy. Let’s face it, when someone is not treating us the way we would like them to, it is all too easy to retaliate in the same negative way. So ask yourself ‘how do I want to be treated today?’, and then treat others the same way! Don't be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—harvests a crop of weeds. All he'll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God's Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life. [Galatians 6:7-8]
