Daily Word – Friday 08 September 2006

Don't, enemy, crow over me.
   I'm down, but I'm not out.
I'm sitting in the dark right now,
   but God is my light.   [Micah 7:8]

Sometimes it really feels like we’re sitting in the dark with the enemy laughing at us. We feel lost and not able to see ‘the wood for the trees’, but God is our light and He will illuminate the path ahead of us if we just wait and trust.

Most of us have heard the saying ‘it’s darkest before the dawn’ but remember, dawn always arrives, with all its glorious beauty.

Think of the mornings that you have watched the sun rise, breathed in the fresh morning air, and felt glad to be alive, embracing a brand new day. In the same way, when the light of ‘The Son’ rises over us, suddenly everything makes sense; we face new beginnings filled with hope, ready to move forward and alive with the sweet fragrance of the Holy Spirit.

So, if it’s dark right now --- rest ---- your dawn is on its way!!

He'll turn on the lights and show me His ways.
   I'll see the whole picture and how right He is. [Micah 7:9b]
