DAILY WORD – WEDNESDAY 15 AUGUST 2006

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

 [1 Corinthians13:13]

The greatest of these is love!!!!

It is so interesting that often when we get swept up in the process of daily living, love sometimes ends up at the bottom of the list. We can become so obsessed with obtaining the ‘prize’ of becoming the ‘perfect’ Christian, striving in our flesh to walk in faith, driven to ‘have it all together’ hoping for all of Gods blessings, that love and grace disappear into the background of our lives.

But it is love that we most need before we are truly able to walk in the others, for it is Gods love, for us and in us, that births true hope and faith. Anything less is a travesty, a cheap replacement, that can bring us only hurt and disappointment.

So today, let Gods love rule in your heart and mind and then you will truly fly!!!!!

But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
   They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don't get tired,
   they walk and don't lag behind. [Isaiah 40:31]

Don’t ‘work it’ --- wait for it!
