DAILY WORD – MONDAY 31 JULY 2006 Don't bad-mouth each other, friends. It's God's Word, His Message, His Royal Rule that takes a beating in that kind of talk. You're supposed to be honoring the Message, not writing graffiti all over it. God is in charge of deciding human destiny. Who do you think you are to meddle in the destiny of others? [James 4:11-12] How often do we look at other people’s lives and quickly judge them by their appearance and circumstances. And then there’s the trivial things we squabble over, minor differences in our understanding of the Word of God, trying to change someone else’s lifestyle because of something God has bought us under conviction about. When we get into this type of thing, we change from being builders to being demolition experts.Know any of them? Why is it that it is so much easier to see the faults in others instead of celebrating the good, the working out of the character of God in their lives? And make no mistake this behaviour dishonours God and His Word! Let us not deceive ourselves into thinking that this only applies to someone else, for this is an area that we all need to guard our hearts against. Let us rather honour Gods Word by walking in love with one another. Let us put aside our petty differences, rather trusting our Lord to continue to work, not only in our lives, but the lives of others. So today --- let the love of God be shed abroad in our hearts ---- let mercy be our yardstick! Still growing in grace, Much love CHRISSY
