DAILY WORD – FRIDAY 07 JULY 2006

Here is another illustration Jesus used: "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants and grows into a tree where birds can come and find shelter in its branches."

 [Matthew 13:31-32]

We all have something that God can use. No matter how small the seed, if we plant it for the kingdoms sake it will grow far beyond anything we could ever imagine. When we sow into the lives of others, no matter how small the seed, whether just a loving touch or a small word of encouragement, the power of Gods love will cause that seed to burst into life and grow into a tree that will give rest and shade to the weary traveler.

A seed we sow, something to grow

Sometimes so fast sometimes so slow

Sunshine, Gods love and laughter

His mighty Word providing water

And then, one day we look and see

A towering, magnificent, majestic tree.

So what will you plant today?
