And by Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of His blood on the cross. This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were His enemies, separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions.

[Colossians 1:20 –22]

There was a man lying on his deathbed. His uncle came to see him and asked him whether he had “made peace with God?”

He answered? I didn’t know we had a fight!

There are a lot of people who know of God, but don’t acknowledge Him. They ignore or avoid Him. They think they are fine, but God sees that as being rebellious. And being rebellious is the same as being an enemy. The only way to become a friend is to fully surrender and acknowledge our Father. Jesus paid the price for us to be in the presence of God.

Stop avoiding God. Stop telling yourself you don’t need Him in your life. Stop believing the lie of the enemy.

God wants you to be his friend and not his enemy.

PRAYER

O lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.

I ask Jesus to come live in my heart, to be the Lord of my life.

I receive eternal life into my spirit.

I declare that I am saved, I am born–again, I am a child of God!

I now have Jesus indwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!

I will walk in the awareness of my new life in Christ Jesus!

Amen.
