Daily Word 31 May 2006

I said, ‘Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of My Love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the Lord, that He may come and shower righteousness upon you.’

[Hosea 10:12]

Love, kindness, forgiveness, patience, mercy, faithfulness, peace; these are the seeds from our heavenly Father that we need to plant in our hearts. We need a change of heart. It is easy to be unloving, rude, unforgiving, inpatient, unfaithful and on the “warpath”, but if we want to see God’s blessings in our lives, we need to start changing the way we think, feel and live. We are quick to ask God for His blessings, but not so quick to let Him change our stubborn hearts.

How can God bless us if we can’t or won’t even bless those around us? If we can’t even say a kind word to the teller at the grocery store or try to have some patience with the man driving in front of us with a flat tire; how can we expect God to shower His mercy and kindness upon us?

God wants to dig out all the weeds that are intertwined in our hearts. He wants to root them it out so that the beautiful and colorful flowers of His Love can start growing. Then we will be producing bunches of beautiful fragranced flowers instead of being trapped and strangled by horrible choking weeds.

One smile can change someone’s whole day.

One kind word can heal someone’s heart.

One act of forgiveness can mend a broken soul, and

One loving touch can save a life.

We have the power of Jesus Christ to change our lives and to change the lives of others!

Let us all start harvesting the LOVE of God!

Much love,

Nadia
