DAILY WORD – THURSDAY 06 APRIL 2006

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.

[Isaiah 41:10]

For you that know depression will know that it can be quite a struggle. For the last couple of weeks I have been depressed. I was feeling lost and lonely. I fell into that trap were I felt life was not what it was supposed to be, that I was all alone. How many times have I fallen into that trap? I decided today that I was not going down again! I will not go around the same mountain one more time! I will stand on my God of strength and I will be victorious!

God gave me this scripture this morning where He promises me that He will be with me. I had to share this, for I know that there are many others feeling down and out today. But God says: ‘I am holding you by your right hand – I, the Lord your God. And I say to you ‘Do not be afraid. I am here to help you.’ Isaiah 41:13

Only God can save us, we can’t fight these feelings by ourselves. If you are feeling depressed today call upon our Lord and Savior, tell Him your troubles and then go and hide under His merciful and loving wings. He will listen; He will not disappoint nor forsake us!
