DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 07 MARCH 2006
A good reputation is more valuable than the most expensive perfume. In the same way, the day you die is better than the day you are born. [Ecclesiastes 7:1]
We all love beautiful things: nice clothes, expensive sound systems, beautiful homes and fast cars, but we tend to live day by day always yearning for bigger and better. Sometimes we will even go to the extreme to find ‘happiness’. We dream of having ‘the perfect life’, and all that is supposed to come with it, and there is nothing wrong with having beautiful things, because we know that these are all blessings from God. But we need to be first and foremost wise, not letting material possessions distract us from the true meaning of life….. our relationship with GOD!
Don’t forget WHO blessed YOU!
Instead of focusing on ‘things’, we need to focus on being Godly people. We need to be loving and forgiving, kind and generous, and patient with each other. We need to laugh more! Remember that life is very short and we will all one day pass away without any of our possessions. We will leave only with our godly attitudes, our good reputation and pure hearts.
It is better to spend your time at funerals than at festivals. For you are going to die, and you should think about it while there is still time. [Ecclesiastes 7:2]
As men and women of God, we can be excited about leaving this earth, because we will enter into our Fathers Magnificent Home!
Let us walk with God and keep our focus on Him, not the hustle and bustle of our daily needs and desires.
Don’t loose sight of Heaven!
Much love
Nadia
