DAILY WORD FRIDAY 03 MARCH 2006

Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the devil. For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against those mighty powers of darkness who rule this world, and against wicked spirits in the heavenly realms.    [Ephesians 6: 11-13]

A spiritual war is taking place in the heavenly realms. The Word of God clearly states that we are going to be fighting against evil spirits and not against mere human beings.

Satan unfortunately knows about all our weaknesses and he knows in what area to attack us. His demon helpers who are constantly walking among us will always try and destroy us by making our lives as difficult as possible. Our flesh doesn’t have the power to fight against these demon influences, but our spirit man empowered by the Holy Spirit does. Our Heavenly Father has given us a very powerful weapon so that we can fight and withstand any dark and evil spirit that may try to attack us or our family.

Every morning when we put our foot out of the bed the first thing we need to do is to put on the Armour of God, preparing ourselves for battle. By putting on every piece of God’s Armour we are preparing ourselves for spiritual warfare, so that we can destroy our enemy’s evil plans. God will always fight with us! Just remember that Satan may try and attack us, but the final war has been won already!

*The body armor of God’s Righteousness

*The Shoes of Peace

*The Shield of Faith

*The Helmet of Salvation

*The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God

Prayer

Thank you Lord for loving me so much that You gave me all the weapons I need, to destroy any evil powers that may try and attack me.

Lord I will stand firm today and I will be strong with Your Mighty Power.

I pray this, in the Name of Jesus

Amen.
