DAILY WORD 21st FERUARY 2006
The Lord is my light and salvation – so why should I be afraid? The Lord protects me from danger – so why should I tremble? [Psalm 27:1]
God promises us that He will always be with us, not only in good times but also in bad and trying times. That is an awesome promise, don’t you think? How wonderful is it to know that the great and all-powerful God is our defender and protector! We need not fear any man or circumstance, for when we call
upon the Lord’s sweet and merciful name and ask Him to rescue us from our enemies, He will always respond and save us! Your friends may abandon you, your family may reject you, but your Heavenly Father will never forsake you!
[Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close] Psalm 27:10]
Tough times
The sun was shining bright on Monday,
a slight breeze came up on Tuesday,
the clouds started hugging each other on Wednesday,
the sky was black on Thursday,
the thunder roared on Friday,
the skies broke on Saturday, but do you know what?
the storm subsided on Sunday.
[Poem by: Nadia Linklater]
Do not fear, for God is near!
Much love
Nadia
