Daily Word – Friday 17 February 2006
From the rising of the sun to its going down the Lord’s Name is to be praised. [Psalm 113:3]
Isn’t it amazing?
We should keep on praising.
God spoke one word,
And the heavens stirred.
He placed the stars so bright,
Oh what a glorious sight.
He made the waters flow,
And all from the earth to grow.
The wide-open seas He placed,
Which He designed with such grace.
Birds He created to fly so high,
Up with the sun in the big blue sky.
He wanted animals short and tall,
Some who swam and some who crawled.
The mountains he made to stand so proud,
And the winds, which at times, roar so loud.
Then God decided to place
Us, the human race.
He formed us with His own two hands,
Making us strong enough to stand.
Everyday he still reigns over this earth,
He prepares the way for every birth.
The world was created,
And we’re all some how related.
We are here for just a while,
And yet all have to walk the mile.
God will give and take away,
Just remember to always obey,
And never forget to pray.
This world will someday return to dust,
That is certain, a definite must.
But we will one day sit in heavenly places,
Joined together, all the different races.
We will sing with the angels, new and beautiful praises,
Radiant smiles on our glorified faces. {Poem by: Nadia Linklater}
We don’t always feel like praising God. But we must remember that He is in control of everything, and that He deserves our praises and thanksgiving. No matter how we feel today, let us throw our hands up in the air and thank our God for every good thing He has done, and for just being alive in this beautiful world He created!
Praise God today!
Much love
NADIA
