DAILY WORD – FRIDAY 10 FEBUARY 2006

EVERYTHING WE NEED IS IN A ‘CAN’ ……..

I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME!

(PHILIPPIANS 4:13)

When someone shared this thought with me at the beginning of the year it stayed in my mind.

The Lord started to show me a deeper insight into this little saying. He showed me that when we open a can, the food we find in it is ready to eat. All the hard work and preparation, has been done for us, and all we have to do is open the can and eat.

And so it is with everything we receive from God. All the ‘preparation’ and ‘hard work’ was done for us by Jesus on the Cross of Calvary and all we have to do is open the ‘can’ and eat.

And what is the food we find in Gods ‘can’? His Living Word, for it is written that ‘man shall not live by bread alone by but every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God’.

And where can we find this ‘can’? At the table He prepares for us, even in the midst of our enemies.

Right now there is a Word prepared for you, no matter where you are, what you are doing, or how you are feeling.

So where are you going to eat today?

RUN TO ‘THE LIVING WORD’ NOT ‘THE WORLD’!

YOU ‘CAN’ BECAUSE HE ‘DID’
