DAILY WORD – TUESDAY 07 FEBUARY 2006

FOR I’M GOING TO DO A BRAND NEW THING. SEE I HAVE ALREADY BEGUN!

DON’T YOU SEE IT? I WILL MAKE A ROAD THROUGH THE WILDERNESS OF THE WORLD FOR MY PEOPLE TO GO HOME, AND CREATE RIVERS FOR THEM IN THE DESERT! (ISAIAH 43:19)

GOD HAS MADE A WAY! 

Life is like a maze where all too often we keep choosing the wrong path and end up at yet another dead end. How many times in life do we feel like we’re going around the same old mountain, making the same stupid mistakes and falling over the same old ‘issues’.

We need to understand, is that it doesn’t have to be this way, we serve a God who promises to do new things in our lives, and has in fact already begun, the trouble is that we don’t always recognize the hand of God.

Often when we feel most lost, we are being most led, for when we are at our weakest that is the very time that Gods strength is most perfectly manifest. We are promised a road through the wilderness, and it is there, if we would just let go and trust our Lord and saviour.

The wilderness experiences often reveal angers and attitudes that put us in the desert to begin with, and as we yield these things to the Lord the path we need to follow becomes clearer and clearer. 

We have to ‘let go’ in order to ‘leave’; we have to let go of all our old survival tactics and belief systems in order to get out of the wilderness. We have to be willing to ‘do it’ Gods Way, to embrace the Word of God, the Way of God, for Gods Word and Way are living waters that bring relief to the thirsty soul.

There is a road through the wilderness of the world today, His name is Jesus!

EMBRACE      ‘THE LIVING WORD’      NOT      ‘THE WORLD’!
