DAILY WORD – FRIDAY 03 FEBUARY 2006

BECAUSE THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED!

(PSALM 23:1)

Our Lord is called the Good Shepherd not the Great Cowboy, the difference being that a shepherd leads the sheep and a cowboy drives the herd.

The good shepherd goes ahead of the sheep leading the way; the cowboy drives the herd from the side and the rear always pushing, always prodding.

The shepherd carries the wounded sheep across his shoulder; the cowboy shoots the wounded steer.

The shepherd searches for the one lost sheep; the cowboy counts the one lost, worthless.

We are called to be sheep not cattle! The shepherd we follow is faithful and true. He will never ask us to go where he has not first gone to prepare our way. He will never betray or abandon us, and he has already given His life so that we might live!

So where are you going today for the help and answers you need? Are you being led by the Lord or driven by the devil?

RUN TO ‘THE LIVING WORD’ NOT ‘THE WORLD’!

HE IS YOUR WAY, YOUR TRUTH AND YOUR LIGHT!
