DAILY WORD – MONDAY 23 JANUARY 2006
SO TAKE A NEW GRIP WITH YOUR TIRED HANDS, STAND FIRM ON YOUR SHAKY LEGS, AND MARK OUT A STRAIGHT, SMOOTH PATH FOR YOUR FEET SO THAT THOSE WHO FOLLOW YOU, THOUGH WEAK AND LAME, WILL NOT FALL AND HURT THEMSLVES, BUT BECOME STRONG. (HEBREWS 12:12-13)
WHO WILL BE FOLLOWING YOUR EXAMPLE TODAY?
We need to realize as Christians, that no matter how humble our circumstances or un-influential we may feel, there are always others who are watching us, the examples we set, and the way we react to situations.
No matter how weary we may feel some days, we need to mark out a straight path for our feet. So how do we mark out a straight path? By making the decision to walk in obedience to Gods word, in thought, word and action! Gods word is a ‘lamp unto our feet’ and a ‘light unto our path’, and when we walk on the path that His Word illuminates, those who follow us are encouraged and strengthened.
Speaking negatively, gossiping, criticizing, faultfinding and complaining generally about our ‘lot’ in life causes discouragement and fear in the lives of others. Whether we like it or not, what we do and say impacts the lives of others, either positively or negatively!
So where are your words and actions leading others to today? Are you leading them to the wonderful Word of God and victory, or are you leading them into a pit of self pity, doubt and despair. The choice is yours!
BELIEVE --- TRUST IN --- SPEAK --- AND OBEY --- ‘THE LIVING WORD’
NOT --- ‘THE WORLD’!
Have a God led Monday.
Much love
